M Sc in Nursing
Masters in Nursing program is a new venture of Kumudini Nursing. Kumudini is the second in the country and first in the private sector to start this course. It is affiliated with Bangabhandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).This is a 2 years post-graduation degree which will follow the course and curriculum of BSMMU. In the first year (2020) we start with:
1. Nursing Management.
2. Women’s Health and Midwifery Nursing.
The admission criteria are bachelors in Nursing with one year of practical experience. The candidate has to be Registered Nurse (RN) recocgnized by Bangladesh Nursing Council (BNC).
Course Duration: 2 years. By 2023 we expect to pass out our first batch of Post Graduate Nurses and by 2026 the first batch of PhD’s. Professor Chung Yul Lee has joined Kumudini Post Graduate Nursing Institute (KPGNI) as the Director. She was the first Director of the National Institute of Advanced Nursing Education & Research (NIANER); the post graduation Nursing Institute of the government. Dr Jenny Kerrison is the Head of the Department of Women’s Health and Midwifery Nursing. Dr Linda Jones is the Head of the Department of Nursing Management. There are adequate numbers of foreign and local PhD faculty members working in the program.
